I think AEG Burst Wizard belongs to one of them. If there are enough people buying into them, then they become worthy to exist. Of course, a lot of people don't mind to have the trigger switch arcing reducer, the LIPO protection and ROF adjustment features at no extra cost too.īy the way, aren't all the gadgets on the market are trying to steal your wallet by saying that they enhance your Airsoft experience in some way. In additional, with the delay "sniper mode" feature along with burst firing, we now can have a more skilled competition where you don't just fire as many shots as you can just to hit something. You just can't release the trigger fast enough even for a 5 round burst consistently! That is what the AEG Burst Wizard can assist you and let your brain relax and just play a fun game. Especially with todays well engineered AEGs that can give you 30+ bps. But how about other parts of your body, can every part coordinate well every time to produce a 3 round shots and still steady enough to hit the target consistently. I just want to say that human brain is always better than any computers in the world. Am I missing something here? Please explain. But, the method I use is by squeezing the trigger and releasing, then squeezing it again. Well worth the MSRP of $35, in my opinion.Ĭhachi wrote:I may be a noob by asking this, but what is the point? I mean, can't you have essentially the same effective by having trigger control? I get the burst factor, and frankly use that method myself when firing on a target, unless there is an absolute need to unleash the full and continuous auto fire. The other features touted in the manufacturers claims will have to wait for more dedicated electronics testing equipment, which I do not have access to, but suffice it to say, this is a very cool addition to any AEG, and because it does NOT require you to open your gearbox or modify your gun in any way, you can transfer it from gun to gun as your needs dictate. This unit does not affect semi-auto mode in your AEG. This could be a good training aide to help force you to aim your shots, especially in semi-auto mode. It works quite well and still allows burst fire, but forces the operator to wait 1 second between trigger pulls. This mode is entered by disconnecting the unit from the battery, turning the potentiometer counter-clockwise until it stops, then plugging in the battery. This mode forces a 1 second pause between shooting. ![]() Once you release the trigger after going full auto, the unit resets to burst mode automatically.Īfter reading the documentation provided and swapping the connectors, I felt I was ready to give it a shot.Īnother interesting feature built into this unit is a sort of "Sniper" mode. If you continue to hold the trigger after the burst is complete for about 1 second, the unit essentially goes into bypass mode, and your gun will fire in full auto untill you release the trigger. After the set time, the unit cuts off the current to the gun, thereby stopping the firing cycle. This is how the unit is able to create the burst frature. You use this dial to adjust the time the Burst Wizard passes current from the battery to the gun. On one end of the Burst Wizard, there's a potentiometer with a small Phillips Head adjustment dial. Fortunately I am well versed in converting to Deans, so it took me a few minutes to remedy the situation. The only problem I had with it was it came wired to Mini Tamiya connectors.Įverything I run has Deans style T connectors. This size should fit in just about any AEG. It's relatively small, measuring about 3/4" wide and about 2" long. I received the Burst Wizard along with a 2 page document describing its features and how to set it up. The theory behind this device is to provide a burst function for your AEG without having to open your gearbox.Ī fantastic concept to provide a unique benefit for every AEG, I was currious to see if and how it worked. I recently received an AEG Burst Wizard from AEG Wizard Main Page Not sure where the best place for this is, so if there's a better sub forum for it, feel free to move it there. ![]()
